AMC Font Wrangler 2.0v

The term “wrangler” refers to the people that are employed to professionally handle animals, horses in particular. Software developer Alchemy Mindworks decided to use this term to name its Font Wrangler application for a simple enough reason – to throw some light onto what the application can do.

But that is not enough for you to get a better idea of what Font Wrangler can do. So I am going to have to spell it out: Font Wrangler is a Windows utility that allows you to manage all your TrueType fonts. The simple truth of the matter is that if you have just a few dozen typefaces, you will not run into any significant problems managing them. But if you have a few hundred typefaces, you will find that managing them all can prove to be a big pain in the unmentionables.

That is where the Alchemy Mindworks-developed application Font Wrangler comes in. It allows you to easily manage the hundreds of fonts you installed on your Windows-powered computer. Here is the sort of functionality you can expect to get from Font Wrangler:
- An intuitive interface to visualize your fonts, install new fonts and remove old ones.
- Browse through the fonts you downloaded.
- Choose which of the downloaded fonts you want to keep. Rename the ones you’ll keep, delete the ones you don’t want or like.
- Print a "contact sheet" of fonts. This way you will have a hardcopy reference of your downloaded and installed fonts.
- Change the font names of TrueType fonts.
